Are you a victim of crime?

You’ve found a place for information and support. One of MOVA’s most important functions is to provide assistance to victims of crimes and their families. As a crime victim, you may be experiencing trauma, confusion and uncertainty. The MOVA staff is ready to help. We offer referrals to appropriate programs and service providers; information and advocacy to help you better understand the justice system; and connections to support groups and essential programs in your own community.

Find the help and support you need.

Browse the MOVA Help Directory to find hotlines, community programs, shelters, legal help and other resources that provide help and support.

Victim Compensation and Assistance program

The Attorney General’s Office administers the state’s Victim Compensation Fund. While MOVA frequently collaborates with this office, MOVA does not process victim compensation claims. To learn more about Victim Compensation please contact the Attorney General’s Office directly at 617.727.2200, extension 2160 or go to the Attorney General's Office Website.
